2006 lambs

November 12, 2005

The VAI season has started!  This is our third year of VAI and I am just as thrilled with the process as now as I was on the first day in November of 2003.  A sincere thank you to Þorsteinn Ólafsson of Southagri who is the designer of the process and a pioneer in sheep reproduction.  Thanks also to Guðmundur Jóhannesson, the export specialist at Southagri, who facilitates the export of the straws each year.

Here is the list of ewes, as they are AI'ed.  Ewes will be added and removed as we go through the season.  We heat check each ewe starting on around day 14 or 15 of her cycle, so we will see if they recycle.  For cleanup rams, we have some wonderful boys, some AI, and some out of AI lines, including our Grand Champion Ram, BLW-801R, so we won't be all that disappointed if some of the girls recycle.  ;-D

If you are looking for farm breeding, go to Breeding 2005.  The Breeding Rams are listed separately with descriptions and photos.
