                                                                                       Lamblist 2009

 May 21, 2009

These breeding rams are available to go to their new homes any time.  But these prices are in affect only until November 1, 2008.   When we start the breeding season, some of these rams may be taken off the sales list.  A deposit of one third will hold the ram off the list until pickup.   All sheep are guaranteed to be fertile* and will be registered, unless other arrangements are made.  We are enrolled in the Scrapie program with certified status; flock number MA-10.

Remember that as of 11/15/07, F1 lambs no longer have to stay in the Voluntary Scrapie Program, so ewes out of an AI sire can go to any flock.  We are still in the program with flock number MA-10 and have been certified for several years now.  Purchasers who are in the program will not lose status by purchasing out of our flock, and those who choose not to be in the program can now buy sheep that are farm or AI bred, no restrictions!

* : Some restrictions apply to the guarantee, please inquire for details.  More Rams to Come!!

  AI Sire Grani

4/20/08 Twin black/gray horned ram.  Carries moorit and spotting, he is out of one of our best polled ewes.  We bred her to a horned ram because her dam Snowflake, BLW-F07 was very horned.  234U is a great-grandson of our prized matriarch STS-38Z, Solee.  His horns are trimmed and may need trimming again so this fellow cannot go to a beginner's flock.  He is a real treasure and we want to be sure that his horns will be cared for and will not cause him difficulty.  But with his genetics, build and color, he will be worth the trouble.   234U is 1/2 Grani and 1/16 each Heli and Flekkur, totaling 5/8 AI.   Great lines!

  5/15/08

273U has 1/4 Visir plus 1/16 each Hunn and Heli, for an AI total of 3/8, plus of course he is a Solee grandson.

Sire 109T was the best looking lamb of his year.  The Visir line is known for excellent build, particularly in the neck, shoulders, back, rump and leg, as well as very good daughter scores: milkiness 111, fertility 110, composite daughter score of 109, 100 being the average.

273U could carry solid from his dam Millie, or gray from his sire.  He carries one moorit gene from Millie, and could be homozygous for moorit as 109T carries as well.  Spotting is very possible as both parents carry.

273U has a calm and mellow temper.  He is short-legged, but powerful through his neck, shoulders, rump and leg.  Nice.  Excellent horns.

   $800 - on deposit
