     This was our last lamb born this spring - born right out in the field with both of our farm dogs on guard against the fox.  Mom even let the dogs help her wash off her newborn, something the ewes usually won't do.   Here, the little one is trying to get a bit more comfortable.

                                          Some of our other farm animals:

            This is our house chicken.  She lives with us in a cage in the kitchen right now, as she was hatched by the ducks by accident!  We didn't want the ducks to raise her as we didn't think she would be able to swim.  ;-}

The Canada Geese nest in the beaver meadow on our farm every year.  We always enjoy seeing how many goslings the parents are able to hatch out, and keep safe from the fox.  And we really enjoy watching them grow up.  Of course all the clover that they eat out of the fields really helps them grow!
